Performance Options and Rates


Blue Moon Dance Company can provide ensemble or soloist performances based on the specifics of your particular event or your personal preference. From full production events to at-home parties, Blue Moon will tailor a performance plan for you. Props available for shows include sword, basket, pot, zils (finger cymbals), skirt and/or cane. Our performances are always family-friendly, and we strive to make them events that will leave you with a smile on your face and in your heart! (Please note that Blue Moon does not perform for all-male audiences or one-on-one events.)

Most performances are comprised of staged choreographic and improvisational performance pieces, and can incorporate group dancing and/or mini-lessons if you desire. Blue Moon is unique in the Triangle in that we are comprised of both dancers and musicians so that live music is an option available to you as well.

All rates start with a base time/# of dancers/musicians option, and will vary depending on the specifics of the event, the performance desired and the availability of troupe members.

Option #1: Dance Company (includes musicians and dancers)
45 minute set featuring a mix of live and pre-recorded music, props performances, audience participation, and 2-3 dancers. This full-production performance showcases the complete tribal belly dance repertoire in all its beauty, power and grace as well as the incomparably wonderful experience of live music accompaniment. $450

Option #2: 3 Dancers
30 - 35 minute set featuring 3 of our principal dancers performing to pre-recorded music. Choreographed, group improvisational, solo and props performances may be included. Also includes group dancing at the end of the performance, complete with hip scarves to borrow! This option showcases the precision, focus and incomparable bond of tribal group work as well as the innovative and lively choreographies for which Blue Moon Dance Company is renowned. $350

Option #3: 2 Dancers
20 - 25 minute set featuring 2 of our lovely dancers performing to pre-recorded music. Choreographed, group improvisational, and solo performances included. Props performances as time/space permits. This option allows for the interpretation of tribal dance in duets and solos on a smaller, but still significant scale. $250

Option #4: 1 Dancer
10-15 minute set featuring one of our beautiful dancers performing to pre-recorded music. This option provides the flavor of tribal dance as translated by one of our dancers in her own signature fashion. $150

Important Conditions to Note

*Prices listed are for one set unless otherwise indicated. Additional sets/requests for mini-lessons/ group dances not included in the description as above will be pro-rated.
*Holiday events will run up to a $100 premium.
*Short-notice bookings (less than two weeks) must be paid in cash upon arrival at the event.
*For events greater than 15 miles outside of downtown Apex, travel charges will apply. These charges start at $.60/mile, and will include lodging and meals if travel is greater than 50 miles away.
*Prices/travel fees are subject to change.
*Blue Moon Dance Company requires a non-refundable deposit of up to half of a booking fee at least two weeks prior to the event for all events. The remainder must be paid upon arrival at the event.
*Blue Moon requires a written contract for all events, as well as a safe, non-hazardous and appropriate environment in which to perform. We reserve the right to refuse to perform if these conditions are not met.
*Events that are cancelled less than 5 business days prior to when they are scheduled are subject to a cancellation fee.
